Everyday I learnt a lot when I spend some time reading the bible and doing devotion.

And I sincerely want to share with you what Ive learnt today.

Jesus came to earth for the sick, the broken, and the insecure people that the religious people wanted to ignore. He came to fill their deepest need with his love.

One of our deepest needs in life is to feel secure, to feel valuable, to feel acceptance. Because of this we are constantly doing two things – evaluating and comparing. We do this all the time, consciously and unconsciously. We judge ourselves by one of the world’s four standards that don’t matter:

1. Appearance. How do I look? This mentality says that the more beautiful you are, the more important and more valuable you are.

2. Affluence. If I own a lot, then I must be worth a lot.

3. Achievement. Do you base your value on your awards, notoriety, and promotions?

4. Approval. How many people like me? How popular am I?

The problem with this value system is that it’s not stable. Beauty fades with age; possessions wear out; someone else will surpassed your successes; and not everyone will like you.

Studies show that you tend to base your self-esteem on what you think the most important person in our life thinks about you. The only solid foundation for self-worth is to realize how much you matter to God. When you see yourself the way God sees you, it will transform you.

And this is how much God loves you:

“God never overlooks a single sparrow. And he pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail – even numbering the hairs on your head!” (Luke 12:6-7 MSG).

You know, sitting here in my room, I really lost count of all my blessings. They are too numerous..,There are so many things to thank God for today. Even though sometimes I feel like crap...tired, emo, frustrated when I cant sleep and sad when i realised how worn out i look to the extent that I really dont like taking pictures anymore.

One of the greatest blessings is having good health, being surrounded by people you love and having peace in your life. If you are the kind of person that can fall asleep as soon as head your head touches the pillow - u know, that is like such an amazing blessing!!!! Seriously. Im thankful that the past 2 nights i slept very well even though i still feel so tired in the morning. Sleep debt cant be paid back.

Anyway Im so happy that I stay in Aberdare Hall. The view is amazing. I feel like im living in a fairy tale...surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful houses outside. Everyday i hear birds chirping and singing (like in Enchanted!!) hehe..i have seen so many types of birds outside my window..from really really tiny ones to the beautiful black bird with long tail with blue stripes..what do u call them?? I forgot.

Okie today is career's workshop day and Im excited!

Love

Ann

We do not remember days; we remember moments. I was once told by a friend that we should do the following: To laugh often and much; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; and know that great things can only come with hardship because everything happens for a reason.
