I know I haven't been updating much for some time. Too many things to do and so little time!
So here we go.
1) I really thank God that I've gotten my passport back and my PSW visa is sorted out! :) Yay! PTL! Now, let the job hunting process begin. (Lord, please grant me strength and perseverance)
2) Yesterday and today, I worked at the Bay as a footfall counter - counting the number of people entering Mermaid Quay. Not the best job ever as it's extremely mundane but I thoroughly enjoyed it for one reason - I was placed outside Cafe Rouge, overlooking the Bay...the water?? waterfront? Milo and 2 other guys were placed facing shops/restaurants so sadly, they found it really boring.
The weather was extremely sunny on Friday. The Bay is definitely one of my favourite places in Cardiff besides Roath Park. It is so beautiful!! The blue skies, water, birds, sailing yachts, families, cute children! ahh...there were so many cute children! I saw this little girl with the prettiest blue eyes ever. And another one with sparkling grey eyes. So pretty! I could just stare into those eyes all day long. You know how they say 'the eyes are the mirror of the soul'. Having said so, Asian eyes are still the best la! :P
Today, the weather was really horrible! It was raining till abt 2. Because of the nature of the job, we had to stand in open spaces, clicking away the 'clicker'. I had my hoodie and even used an umbrella which became a nuisance as it couldn't stand the wind. I was shivering the whole day even when the sun came out later. In fact, I took 7 sachets of lem sip already since Wed as I was down with the flu.
I met the previous owner of a well known cafe in Cardiff. He told me he sold it in a year ago and he's now working in a restaurant opposite where I was stationed. I got free drinks from him. Wouldnt have accepted if it wasnt pouring today. Had a glass of water and tea. He introduced me to the manager and owner of the restaurant. It was quite weird after that. I was quite weary of him cause he kept coming over to where I was working for a smoke. Very scared as I encountered a really dodgy guy yesterday! He asked me tons of questions - like whether we could speak in a quieter place. I said no la of coz! And then he asked me whether I had a bf. I said YES! haha. And then he asked me a stupid question: "Is your bf more good looking than me?" I said obviously he is and he was offended! Omg. Really would have ran to find milo but was on duty that time. I think he has issues with his self-esteem coz he said this in his london accent: 'You dont fancy me because I looked like I have no money is it?' T__T I'd report this guy to security if I ever see him again today but thankfully, he didnt show up.
Speaking of guilty pleasures, I indulged in 2 cornettos today and yesterday! hehe. There's nothing like having ice-cream whilst enjoying the view at the Bay ;) Yeah and it made me cough non-stop! hehe but it was worth it! :p
3) Cant stand guys who have gfs and yet still enjoy checking out/flirting with other girls. I mean, like, seriously lor?! Grow up please! Their nonsensical behaviour makes me so angry at times. I cant say much but I hope the little I'd said would have in one way or another, convict them of their wrongful actions. When will boys become men? Ah. The danger of straying eyes ...
There's a fuller version that u can find on you tube.
Ahh..addicted to this song now!

About Me

- Hui Ann
- We do not remember days; we remember moments. I was once told by a friend that we should do the following: To laugh often and much; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; and know that great things can only come with hardship because everything happens for a reason.
