PostHeaderIcon Welcome to Cardiff!

I arrived on a lovely friday morning, the 19th of Sept. Had no problems at the immigration counter, so praise God! After 15 hours of flying, i am SO happy to have taken the first steps out of the plane to Cardiff.

Carrying the luggages was sooo tiring! We both carried 4 items. We only checked in 2 so basically we had to handle 5 bags and a guitar. Can faint okie! Somemore my laptop was soo heavy! We took a taxi to Kenneth's place first so he can put his things and then help me carry mine to my place.

I am staying in an all girls accomodation called Aberdare Hall. It's so beautiful. This is the front view of the hall. I know it looks kinda spooky, but it's not what it seems to be. It's so castle-like and im lovin it! Because it's an all girls accomodation, the cool thing is that no tom, dick or harry can just easily enter into our place. Every girl living in this hall has a special beeper thingy to open the doors before entering. We have to use it twice to enter into our halls. Even one of out doors open and closes automatically.

And this is the back view my place. It's also another part of Aberdare Hall, called the Library Wing. It's next to the old Hall of Aberdare Hall. Not to be mean, but the old Hall looks reallie scarie cause the lights are yellow and it feels like im entering a haunted house with MANY many rooms.

MY ROOM! nice a not?? hehehe. nice leh! I soo love it. My purple bedsheet from ikea is soo totally comfy! So soft and nice it's worth every single cent. Moreover, it's sold RM50 more expensive here.
Note to mummy: I bought this red cutey heart shaped feet thingy from ikea the other day. It costs me 7pounds but it reallie makes me happy and brightens up my room. It's so funny that i wouldn't have bought it if i were back in msia. hehe. Thanks ma!

My room was REALLY messy and it still is. I cant seem to tidy them up. More things keep gettin stacked up instead.

Hehe. Just like what i said-Messy! Should hv seen this room BEFORE i even started to pack.

However, look at how new my table is!! God has been SOO good to me! I am given a room in Garden Wing-a part of the hall which has just been renovated. Only 30 out of 120 girls were allocated a room at the new wing. Plus, the warden made a mistake and gave me the room on the ground floor when i was supposed to be at the first floor. When they realised their mistake and since i have already moved in my things, they swapped my room with the other gal who was supposed to stay in the ground floor. Turns out the rooms on the ground floor is more spacious since it was actually designed for disable people. SOO Happy! =)

I can even fit my suitcase in there! How cool!

The hallway.

One of the not so nice things is that my room is next to the kitchen. I can hear ppl talking really loudly sometimes and everytime the kitchen door closes i hear the bang on the wall. Anyway, we're sorting that out now, so hopefully everything will get better.

The kitchen. The tables are big enough so everyone can have their meals together. The oven, microwave, kettle etc r all new! =)

The fridge.

And the second not so nice thing is that i dont have a great view. I see bushes outside okie! =( Nvm la. i guess ill be inspired not to look outside so much when i study. oh well!

My first English Breakfast at Wales. I had such a gigantic burger! It's bigger than it looks! Yes! Looks can be decieving. haha. sorrie so crappie. Anyway, they gv so much fries no wonder so many British get heart attack. But i believe, everything in moderation is fine. =) Plus, i love English food too! YUMM! This was a good breakfast! Apparently kenneth says it's the best in Cardiff.

Me posing. hehe. Peace!

Had some toast too, it came with the set Kenneth ordered. It was quite blend.

The sausages r incredibly crispy and juicy... i feel like having one tomorrow!
The potatoes were not that great here-it's drenched in oil, no kidding okie! even the bread! so scarrie. For those who know me well, just to let u know i did not try to wipe it with tissue. hehe.

I have so much more to say and will continue to post up more pics. Unfortunately some are in Kenneth's camera and im feeling so tired now. It's time 4bed since i just got connected to the internet 30mins ago.

Miss you all back at home.

Ill always remember you and this means i will bring back presents. Dont worrie! hahaha- esp jamie.

Love,
~Ann~
