HIYEEE! Im back! :) Feels so good to be back in the UK. Ill give u guys a concise update about my trip to Birmingham and Prague.

On the 13th of December, 4 of us, Janet, myself, Kenneth and Caroline took the 8.35am train from Cardiff Central to Birmingham. We were supposed to take a taxi with Janet to the station but she overslept!! omg. so kan cheong okie! Thank God i called her at 8.15am and we managed to catch our train right on time! phew! hehe.

Janet

It was really fun to have her in our trip. She's such a drama queen! We call her our senior because she's the oldest. Plus, she studies music and sings very very well. So we were greatly entertained by her most of the time. hehe.

During our trip, we witnessed 2 accidents.

The first one happened when we were in the taxi heading to our hostel in Birmingham.

Our colourful taxi.

This purple car collided with our taxi. We were SOO shocked when the taxi gave way to a suddden stop. Thank God it was just a minor accident and both parties resolved it quickly. The insurance policy practised in the UK is really simple! You dont have to make a police report and waste all your time at the police station. Here, the party at fault will have to ring up his insurance company and they will pay the damage done to the innocent party's insurance company who will in return pay the insurer back.

Our hostel. I love it!!

They have a nice place to chill out. You can watch a movie, play a guitar(it's provided, see whether you can find it in the picture), listen to songs, go online or even read a book.

Not only that, for those snooker lovers, u can also have a round of 'snooker-ing'. haha pardon my english.

They even cater for alcoholic lovers. :)

Since it was 10.30am, we placed our luggage in the main hall of the hostel because check in time was at only 2pm. We wanted to eat Chinese food since Birmingham has a Chinatown and we saw many Chinese restaurants as we passed by from the train station to our hostel.

We picked Chung Ying restaurant because it was strategically located and was one of the first few Chinese restaurants that we saw. It was a BAD BAD choice!

We had tan tarts that was served cold which gave us the impression that probably it has been there for quite some time. Not only that, the pastry was not crunchy at all because they did not fluff it and beat it enough. And i find the fillings way too sweet!

This was supposed to be fried squid with satay sauce. But it was boiled! We were so blur and since we already ate a bit, we couldnt ask for an exchange of the dish. I tell u, this dish is horrible and unpalletable. Even the satay sauce..... i have no comments. This squid was rubbery and in the end we just left this dish aside.

This dish contains rawns with some fillings wrapped up, the only one worthy of any praise. haha. seriously. But since there were four of us, Kenneth and i shared this tiny little darling. So yummy and yet so little. sniff sniff.

We ordered other dim sum and 3 meat dish - char siu, siu yoke and duck. The way it was presented looks so pathetic that i would not even want to post the pictures up.

So yeah, next time any of u go to Birmingham pls dont try this Chung Ying restaurant. There's another one called Chung Ying Garden Restaurant which i heard was quite nice.

After that, we headed to Bournville to visit the famous Cadbury World =)

The front view of Cadbury World. Everything's mainly painted according to their theme colour of purple and yellow.

The shop was filled with temptation for all chocolate lovers like me!!

The one and half glass of milk logo on the front of the wrapper is very symbolic towards the making of a cadbury dairy milk chocolate bar. What it simply means is that one and half glass of milk is used in making that bar of chocolate.

It's so good i wanna eat it right now! uMM!

A cocoa has 2 cocoa seeds. The rabits needs 10 of it. And we humans need 100 of it!!

We went for a car ride thingy to experince a magical Cadbury journey to see how the mini chocolates come into life.

Some are fishing and swimming.

Some chocs live in really cold places! hehehe. so cutee hor?!

Some of the mini chocs houses :)

Have any of u seen "raining chocolate"? Now u do! =)

Ta da! That step produces the hollow sea shells that we eat.

This pretty gal drew that snowman with chocolate. So nice rite? i asked her how long did she practised to be able to do that. She said 1 mth.

This Kenneth kacaud me when i was writing with the choc. Look at his one! eee!

Haha my handsome chocolate cyclops!

Wispa chocolate cyclopsee :P

It's another production of Cadbury chocolates but the insides of it are a bit more powdery so that it crumbles straight into ur mouth when u lay your first bite. Not bad but i still prefer the normal chocolate dairy milk. hehe.

When i watched the history of how they struggled to produce the best tasting chocolate and finally managed to do so, I am encouraged to see that their efforts have served them well and today, Cadbury chocolate is well known over all the world.

The lesson i learnt from this visit to the Chocolate factory is that :

"Now we know that all big things has its roots which starts from the very small things in life"

ooO the boxes are so lovely!! and the price also. it costs abt 13pounds~! so exp!

Later that night we went shopping at Bullring, the biggest shopping complex in the UK. It's soo huge okie!! I felt like a jakun aft staying at Cardiff for quite sometime. haha.

It was packed with ppl! Reminded me of midvalley. I prefer 1u or pavillion more tho. :P

Pretty candles! :) I dont think i have the heart to use those pretty butterfly candles.

G-R-O-S-S!

20,000 pounds! *fainttt..who would ever buy it??? =_=

hehe look at the bags we're carrying.. hehe so ke ai hor? i love my penguin bag!! =P

The view at night was amazing..

I have so soooo many more pics and i havent even finished talkin about the German market in Birmingham. Probably it'll be better if i blog abt it at my next post. hehe. :)

take care!
