PostHeaderIcon Beautiful Belfast

At one of the tax free shops in the departure lounge at Cardiff International Airport.

That's one hugE chupa chups! haha. There are actually 15 minis chupa chups wrapped inside. Chupa chups brings back some memories during my early teens. I remember how it was an "in" thing to suck on lolly pops and i actually gave into this social pressure. How silly of me now that i think back! I used to not finish the whole thing and then wrapped it up with tissue paper. =_=;;

6.45pm - Touchdown. Hello Belfast!!

Belfast's City Hall!! Soo beautiful!!! omg.. I fell in love with Belfast at once.

Queen's University Belfast - Main Building.

So castle-ly. I likey likey a lot!! :D

We had Chinese food that night. I shall not post the pictures up as i was too hungry and didnt take pictures of the food nicely. It would be a contempt to reveal the glorious food without revealing the same quality and standard it deserves to be seen.

HAHA. sigh. If i go on with this food loving attitude ill be so fat.

Since my sister has classes till 3 or 4 ish everyday (Poor che che!), Kenneth & I went to have brunch at Maggie May's, one of Ireland's famous restaurants.

Fries.

Kenneth's one. Forgotten what's it called, maybe it should be named Heart Attack Food.

Mine : It's one of those breakfast meals.

Seriously, all the oil from the mushrooms scares me!!! I had to dap it with tissue paper. But the sausage was good! Okie i had quite enough of English / Irish breakfast. No more for me!!

At times like these, i wish i could be back in Msia to have Cha Kuay Teow, Ha Meen, Bak Kut Teh, Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai, Wan Tan Mee or even Kampar Lo Shi Fun!!! Msian Food Rocks la!

Victoria Square

Belfast's newly opened shopping mall! It was huge (when compared with Cardiff's one) and so new!! They have all sorts of branded goods such as Calvin Klein, Hobbs and even eating places like TGIF.

T____T Now i know Cardiff is a bit like Ipoh and Belfast maybe sthg like PJ.

Their money - so colourful!

Shucks. haha. but but.. i still LOVEE Cardiff. Everything's within short walking distance unlike in Belfast, from my sis' place to the city takes like 30 mins. And from Victoria Square, it would take abt 45mins! Plus, St David's 2, apparently it's gonna be one of the largest malls in the UK is opening this coming September in Cardiff! WHEE! finally. Since we're the capital of Wales, we should definitely have more shopping outlets.

Look at top of the yellow spiral structure.

This is the close up of the top of the spiral structure where you'll get a 360 degrees view of a blue hemisphere which is litted up with many stuck-together triangles and also see people kissing. hehe. It was quite an awkward moment for Kenneth & I and so we decided to run down the stairs which was frightening coz it felt like a never ending one! Plus we're quite afraid of heights!

Sounds right? haha. That'll be an excuse for you girls to shop for more shoes.

I realised i dont really have a fetish for shoes. Looking at what i have now in my room, I should probably get myself one really nice pair of evening shoes. I saw my boots at Dorothy Perkins which was 50% less!! It was originally 60pounds, i got it for 48 pounds and now it's only 30 pounds!! so cheap adi!

I guess to me, if i have a few really good shoes, i'll be happy enough to keep wearing them. Oh and argh! Today, one of my cool, oh-so-comfy mary jane maroon pumps which costs me 20 pounds just betrayed me!! The whole sole came off while i was walking! shucks! Oh well, at least it served me well for 4 months.

I bought a top from Top Shop! Whee! :) So happy - it was simple & gorgeous

Caramel latte with Carrot cake & Chocolate Biscuit cakey

Then, we were stuck at Victoria Square for 3 hours because it was raining heavily!

So we decided to stay in Starbucks and chill for awhile :) I like to YUM CHA here.

We also got to visit Fabian & Careen. :)

Dinner at Chili's

Belfast has Chili's! wah no fair lor. Sniff. why cardiff.. why... haha. good also la. Then we spend less. Anyway, it was good to meet up with them. I havent met Careen for such a long time!! Mmm the last time i remember was in high school, and was 13 when i had a proper conservation with her.

Thank God Fabian's leg recovered. Or else Kenneth would have felt awfully bad and indebted to him.

Some crispy chicken with honey.

NOOoo... i dont think i can take anymore of English food.

Kenneth & I also visited Giant's Causeway. It was a day trip and the journey to our destination took us about 2.5 hours. I was experiencing motion sickness and vomitted once i stepped out of the bus! hehe and the funny thing was, the wind was SO strong, when i vomitted, my vomit actually flew 1 metre away from me. In my mind i was wondering 'eh, where did my vomit go?' okie sounds gross but i felt relieved to have vomited the Mars bar out. Thank God i didnt vomit out d Kit Kat i ate since i love it so much more than the Mars. haha.

On the way to Giant's Causeway

The National Rust? HAHA. The T fell off.

Beautiful view!

When we reached our destination, we decided to fill our stomachs before heading on to explore the area. The sun was out (Thank God! coz the weather forecast said it would be raining and the weather changed from cloudy n rainy in the morning!! Jesus, thank you for hearing our prayers!) and hence, it was a rather tough decision but we literally followed our guts. haha.

We had our lunch at the Causeway Hotel. We ordered from the discounted menu since we followed the tour and are eligible for the discount.

Kenneth & I shared a Guiness Steak with some pie.

And had some garlic fries. AMAZING!! I love it!!

Not bad :)

It was rather pricey even after the discount and since we spent quite a fair bit during our trip, i brought some pizza that i heated up in the oven in the morning. So after that, we had pepperoni pizza and our appetites were satiated :)

Legend has it that those funny looking rocks you see was built by the Irish Giant who was in conflict with the Giant from Scotland. The Scotish's Giant wanted to fight with the Irish's Giant and started throwing rocks over the sea. The Irish Giant was smart and started collecting the rocks. Using the rocks, he built a bridge connecting to Scotland in order to end the fight between them once and for all. When Scotish's Giant realised the existence of the bridge, he came over to Ireland and found the Irish's Giant disguised as a baby. So, he asked the Irish Giant's wife where is her husband and she told him that he was out hunting. The Scotish's Giant was taken aback because he thought, if the Giant's baby is already so huge, this means the father must be really BIG! So he quickly ran back to Scotland and because he ran so fast, he destroyed the bridge which is now known as the Giant's Causeway.

Hehe so interesting right? I like the story.

If you look closely, Kenneth has 2 bunny ears! hehe
