Porridge
I made some really good stuff today, porridge! Yeah since Kenneth is not feeling well and i just recovered, i thought why not. Brian shared with me his recipe and i modified it to my liking. It's so yummy!! Im so proud of myself! hehehe. This is coming from a person who doesnt like eating porridge at all and will only retreat to it as my last resort when i fall sick.
The secret is adding some sliced ginger into the pot of rice with LOADS of water. (This is because i like my porridge diluted). With a few dashes of salt and sesame oil, i give the whole pot a good stir and blessing before it becomes a pot of porridge made with love. I also added in 1 carrot. When the porridge is done, i scooped up marinated turkey mince with a spoon, forming it into turkey balls. (Chicken breast tastes a whole lot better). Heeding Chef Brian's advice, by leaving the meat inside the rice cooker for 15 minutes (when the porridge is done), it will be cooked (to my surprise) and it taste amazingly lush! Then, i garnished it with some spring onions and fried onions. YUMM! That's my lunch and dinner for today. hehe.
Anyway, we performed again last night for Go Global, an event organized by Cardiff University. Big turnout and once again, we rocked the stage! Im really happy it was a success.
Now it's due ime to get back to real business - studies and assignments! Ive been praying for God's wisdom and understanding as i do my assignments. Sometimes i get really, really worried thinking how much notes i have to prepare before i sit for my exam and etc. (Yeah being typical nerdy Ann). I dislike to admit that i'm stressed. Really, i dont. I dont like to submerge myself of an ill-thinking emotion which weakens the heart and the body. Rather, i prefer to stand on the word of God that says that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". Im glad i have chosen to put a stop to my worries and remember how God is going before me and his favour and grace will overflow my cup. Praise God! He is really my strength of my heart and portion forever. I cannot imagine going through life without having Him as He is my ever present help in time of need.
Thank you Jesus!
Thank you for tomorrow.
"This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it"
Amen.

About Me

- Hui Ann
- We do not remember days; we remember moments. I was once told by a friend that we should do the following: To laugh often and much; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; and know that great things can only come with hardship because everything happens for a reason.
