PostHeaderIcon When sea gulls attack

Looks can be deceiving.
Sea gulls are not simply 'cute', they are ferocious feathered creatures underneath it all!

They are infamous for their raucous cries and screeching, but now it seems seagulls have also developed an aggressive streak both on humans and rubbish.

Descending from the skies in a flurry of feathers, one bird seized its chance and made off with this woman's sandwich in King Street, South Shields.

Crazy birds! They are really a nuisance. Yesterday was rubbish collection day and the sea gulls know it exactly- all ready to attack! It's funny how the government doesnt provide wheelie bins for my sister's residential area. So, at 8 am, I was woken up by the insanely loud screeching; pretty sure it must be their sign of happiness as they peck through our garbage for food waste. After about an hour or so, when it was finally time for me to get out of the bed, I saw a sea gull flying down towards my sister;s place. In my mind I was wondering "Please dont tell me this sea gull is going to peck through the garbage". OMG! I am so right!! It heard the cries of joy from his fellow mates and flew along our direction to join 'em at their raid. I quickly ran down and made a very, very, VERYYYY loud roar which chased all the 5 sea gulls away!! What a mess they made! haha. My sister had to clean them up.

Okie, besides that. Im accepted to do a one week mini-pupillage in Temple Chambers Newport! :) Im so thankful that out of all the hundreds of applications, mine stood out. It's really a blessing from God and indeed, a stepping stone for me to get a job over in the UK. Somehow I always believe that if you are persistent enough, prepared to face rejection and have the courage to keep going on, you will get to your goals sooner or later. My 3 applications were rejected (2 for mini-pupillage and the third for a pupillage) and my forth one was accepted! Y-A-Y! :D

Abraham Lincoln, President of USA in 1860. I just watched a wholesome 30 minutes documentary about his life. Very impressive I must say.

I believe that to become successful in big things I must strive for excellence in the small things that goes along. There is a saying - "The greatest oak was once a little nut who held its ground."

And today, I attended a 5 panel interview regarding a 1000 pounds scholarship and a 400 pounds bursary that I applied last week. Surprisingly, I have become very much accustomed to the idea of being interviewed. Only a little nervous I must say. hehe. It will be a real surprise and a blessing if i would be granted both of the above.

Okie nitee!

Do you like how John Wilkes Booth decided to put poor Abe six feet under? Such a shame really, but it's as they say, isn't it? Two sides to a coin? :)
