I just came back from conferencing session with my tutor. This time, he acted as my client.

He wanted an injunction to stop the golf balls from coming into his house as he lives very near a driving range.

My first conferencing session was an absolute disaster! I dont think i can do worst than how i performed then. HAHA. Seriously. I was extremely tensed when i was conducting the conference. You know when you're not calm, everything doesnt seem natural and that would obviously affect one's confidence level. Thank God that today I was very natural and my tutor mentioned that he did not see any sight of nervousness and i appeared to very calm. At least, I over came that part and I wasnt reliant on my notes.

By far, i think i did pretty good for the second session. I witnessed the performance of my classmate who was scheduled to attend after me. Why, I must say that she did brilliantly this time around! My tutor specifically mentioned that she was very confident and that is something I do hope to achieve in the next few practises. That is one frequent question I ask myself - How do I ooze that confidence?? Im still figuring it out. I think i have learn to believe in what Im saying to be able to convince my client / Judge that what Im saying is true and is the best way to proceed. Life is a learning process and with much perseverance and determination, I will reach that point of success that I see myself in being that better advocate.

My uncle sent me a power point presentation about the path of most persistence. It was so good! Everytime i read something inspiring like that I feel like tearing. haha. I know - so emo!! One part reads - success is sweet but its secret is sweat. And Thomas Edison, when asked how did he feel about his 2000 times failure before inventing the light bulb, he replied "I never failed once. It just happens to be a 2000 step process."

I know that I have come so far in life. When I think back of my younger days, I remember myself to be such a shy and timid person. And today, i am a barrister-to-be! Advocating and arguing on behalf of people. How strange, isnt it? :) It's God's ultimate grace in my life that He changed me slowly to become a person that mirrors his attributes.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"

Last night before I slept, God reminded me that all the heroes in the bible weren't men and women of courage from the start but they found it in God.

David, a lil shepherd : How did he find the courage to fight Goliath, a 12 footer?

Esther: How did she become so brave to visit the King and touch the golden scepter (in order to meet the King), because if she did so without the King calling her in, she could be sentenced to death.

Daniel: He knew of the new rule that whoever bows down to any God but the King would be thrown into the lions' den but he went on ahead and prayed with his open windows that faces the city as he had always done so from the beginning.

It came to my mind that God had prepared them to face the big things in life. He wouldnt put you in the spot without giving you adequate preparation but he will give you time, exercises and situations in life to teach and mold you into the character that he desires to bless you with.

I think Ive learned so much throughout this few years of my life, especially after graduating from high school. So much to say but I better go off now and watch how I did today in conferencing which is saved on a dvd.

All glory goes to God!

We do not remember days; we remember moments. I was once told by a friend that we should do the following: To laugh often and much; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; and know that great things can only come with hardship because everything happens for a reason.
