PostHeaderIcon Try to Enjoy Trying

Monday blues acting prematurely.

Challenges day after day. It's true that you grow up and you'd got to learn how to row your own boat.

I've been reading a book by Peter Bregman and he says:

"...anyone can do anything. As long as three conditions exist:

1. You want to achieve it.
2. You believe you can achieve it.
3. You enjoy trying to achieve it.

We often think we need only the first two, but it's the third condition that's most important. The trying is the day-to-day reality. And trying to achieve something is very different from achieving it. It's the opposite, actually. It's not achieving it.

...According to Gladwell, ten thousands of hours of practice is the magic number to become the best at anything. Which is why you'd better enjoy trying to achieve your goals. Because you'll never spend ten thousand hours doing anything you don't enjoy. And if you don't enjoy the trying part, you'll never do it long enough to reach your goal."

I really have to persevere, and enjoy trying.

We do not remember days; we remember moments. I was once told by a friend that we should do the following: To laugh often and much; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; and know that great things can only come with hardship because everything happens for a reason.
