LUNCH TIME!

Hiye guys! It's abt food again! hehe. What to do. Leon ure right. This is so malaysian of me to blog abt food. hehehe. Today i attended an English Service held in a chinese church located quite a distance from the place i stay. Thankfully one of the leaders and his wife, John and Amy gave me a lift. They're really nice ppl! Although she's pregnant, she still looks so stunning. Reminds me of my cousin who's also pregnant. Ill show pictures later on. After the service, a few of us went for lunch at a restaurant called Phoenix's Garden. ooOo and they serve malaysian food! =D

I instinctively knew i wanted nasi lemak. But Brian, one of the church member who has been living here for 5 years told me that the nasi lemak served there is not that great. So the next best thing was curry laksa of coz! hehehe. U might wonder hw did it go. It was AWESOME! Kenneth wanted to exchange dishes so fast okie! I havent even eaten half yet so i took my stand n guarded my dish fr him. hahaha.

Kenneth ordered some Special Kum Sauce Duck Noodle. The duck was succulent n juicy! Really tasty. I didnt really like the noodles tho.

(Sorrie the pic's so blur. It was taken with a camera phone)

DINNER TIME!

L to R: Brian, Kenneth, Lip Sing, Andy

Brian is pursuing his last year of pHD in some medical field at Glamorgan University. He offered to cook dinner and made us some of his signature dishes.

Tofu with a generous topping of fried garlic and oyster sauce. SO GOOD!

This is one of the easiest n tastiest food ive ever eaten. Not to mention it is also healthy and nutritious. Apparently this is called Hong Kong style eggs with tomatoes. He added sugar in it to create a sweet tomato paste. Very clever!

Freshly made meat balls. Brian has his own unique style of making the meatballs. After mixing white & red carrots, garlic, onions and minced pork meat together, he uses his palm to squeeze out the meat ball paste and quickly forms it into a shape of a ball. He says it's a technique taught by one of the chef from one of the restaurants. How fascinating rite! =D

Cili padi! =D Couldnt finish it so we used it for something else. Stay tune to be entertained!

SMILE! The boys r ready to attack!

Look at how many guys he has to feed! 7 of them with unsatiable appetites. Crazie okie. One whole pot of rice also can finish so fast. Not more than 5mins after eating, they cooked another pot of rice.

Siew Meng. Chef #2.

The pot of rice was used to make fried rice for the 7 hungry guys. They added the remainder of the cili padi, more carrots, a bag of tau pok and LOTs of onions into the rice. It was spicy! Not bad, quite tasty but would have been better with more soy sauce.

Tada! Fried rice with cili padi. Hehe and some belacan.

They finished it in 10 minutes. Amazing.

HEHE now it's my turn to be the chef!

Chef #3: Hui Ann! YAY!

I boiled carrot soup. Inside there're carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, an onion and 3 chicken drumsticks. The sweetness from the chicken and onions oozes out into the soup and because it was boiled with love, if u drink it, it goes straight to ur heart. Yup, ull feel the love!! it's the love soup! hahaha.

Lynn and Kenneth agrees wholeheartedly that i have improved from the first time that i made it. They loved it and it made me so happy.

Morale of the story: Never give up coz one day u will succeed. Hehe.

Ohh happy me with my carrot tomato soup! =)

Have class at 9am tom! gotta pop into bed now.
*sweet dreams*
