A Gloomy Day in the City
Today, Kenneth & I decided to take the opportunity to visit the Castle before tutorials start and work starts piling up.
Unfortunately, it rained AGAIN today and destroyed our plans to do some travelling.
A gloomy day indeed. But the flowers here are beautiful! =)
HAHA Bar & Grill. What a funny name for a bar.
Since we had to pass the city centre, we figured out that we should take shelter and do some shopping inside the mall.
We didnt manage to buy anything because i'm such a fussy shopper. There are many factors taken into consideration before i make a purchase - price, quality and comfort. hehe. So yeah! So far, after 2 weeks in Cardiff, all i managed to buy is a pair of BOOTs that cost 24 pounds after discount. It's SOO nice & comfy!
Dark brown 2 inch boots. =D
Before we started shopping, we ate at Greggs.

This sausage roll is SOO tasty! And it's only 50p. Inside the roll, it has smashed sausage stuffings that can tempt anyone to eat it ALL even though ure not hungry. We had the LAST ONE on the tray! I feel so blessed. haha =P
So windy and it was drizzling.
After shopping, we ate, again!
Lots of ppl were queing up for this. I had sausage with mushrooms and he had the famous one, hot roast pork with stuffing roll. It's like a traditional English store selling burgers and sandwiches akin to our local mamak.
In case u all might think that i have been eating out too often, fyi, i have also been doing some cooking. Here's the proof!
FRIED RICE!! looks nice leh! hehhee. YES! it was very yummy! I took so long to finish cooking okie! A lot of effort was put into completing this wonderful dish.
As u can see, there's eggs, shreded chicken, and carrots in the fried rice. I also added some crispy fried chilli inside. Later i fried the prawns with some flour and added some chilli. As for the vege, i fried it with some dried salted vege that i brought from home.
2 nights ago i cooked curry chicken for dinner. I was extremely satisfied with it. I used the paste recommended by Davina's mum. Anyone can be a chef using it! hehe.
I love curry!
Back to the main story, after eating, we went to take a look at the local market nearby.
The market was really clean. I thought the meat and vegetables would be cheaper but it wasnt. It's sold abt the same price or even more compared to the grocery stores.
The butchers look so cute and clean! They have white hair and wear black aprons. hehe.
Most of u might think that ive been eating a lot and some might have some precognition that ill put on some weight when i get back. Let me prove u wrong.
I attended a hip hop modern class by the FADs-Funky Arse Dancers! HAHA. what a name. It's a dance society.
I tried out their intermediate and advance class (the advance ticket is blur so i took a pic of the intermediate one instead). It was really cool! I enjoy the advance class better! The moves r so much more interesting. The only shortfall is that they only teach steps and not techniques. Plus, they dont provide mirrors okie! So i dont know whether im doing it the right way.
I miss my dance teacher, Alice Yap. She's an excellent teacher. I owe it to her that i can dance today. She has taught me the basics, techniques and also how to cultivate my own style. I recommend anyone who wants to take up dancing to learn under her. You'll never go wrong. Forgot to mention, she was one of the top 20 finalist in So You Think You Can Dance, Season 1.
Thanks alice! I miss uuu!!

About Me

- Hui Ann
- We do not remember days; we remember moments. I was once told by a friend that we should do the following: To laugh often and much; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; and know that great things can only come with hardship because everything happens for a reason.
