Nottingham Games

Every year, there is an event called "Nottingham Games" whereby Malaysians representing their university in UK, gather together at Nottingham to compete with one another in the many areas of sports.
The Malaysian Society of Cardiff chartered a double-decker bus where more than 60 of us went. Some were taking part as representatives while the rest of us, like me, are ardent supporters of Cardiff Uni.
We had to wake up at 3am as the bus leaves Cardiff at 4am. We reached Nottingam at 7 ish am.
I was experiencing motion sickness okie! the same feeling when i go to Cameron Highlands or Frazers Hill. Really felt like vomiting but thank God i didn't as i fell asleep tru the journey to Nottingham.

L to R: Ms Cutie, Me, Stanley, Alice, Teck KangOur welfare was very much taken care of by the Malaysian Society. We were given a breakfast pack containing a hot dog, 2 muffins and a breakfast bar. Not only that, they gave us each a banana also!!! my fav fruit!!
hehe back in Msia, i hav bananas every day without fail. If there's no more bananas at home ill definitely complain to my father y he never buy me bananas. Even now in d UK, i have it everyday. Not only izzit cheap(abt 6p=RM0.36 each), it's also convenient and easy to eat. Plus it's has natural ingredients to make u poo poo everyday. HEALTHY n EASY TO EAT. =)

haha that's d banana skin left aft ive eaten it. Stanley was going to throw it away 4me.Ive yet to describe hw HUGE Nottingham University is. IT IS HUMONGOUS!!
I didnt take many pics of the university coz honestly, the weather was SO cold and since the premise was so huge, i was really lazy to walk from where we were (around d building) to the main entrance to snap pics.
A Netball MatchAfter registering, Stanley and i went to Power League to watch football matches and to support Kenneth who's representing Cardiff. =D
We had to take a bus to Power League to watch d football matches since it is nowhere walking distance from where the other games such as volleyball n basketball were held.
im bad with names. =(

That's Kenneth, playing all the roles - Centre, Stricker and even goal keeper! He had to save the team fr overwhelming disgrace!Actually Kenneth is in Cardiff Team B. He's so keng also they put him in Cardiff B. Altho he was made captain in his team but hw do u expect one talented guy to win the game when a game like this needs team effort.
Btw, Kenneth n his team had a perfect score!! =D

haha but nvm. All of them said they'll train harder and hope for a better outcome next year.

I took a shot when kenneth so ngam just kicked the ball. He looks so funnie ere. Like dancing in the air! hehehe
It was extremely windy that day! I cant believe i was actually at outdoors watching them play football for 3hrs! I wore 4 layers of clothes (including the jacket) and Kenneth's gloves.
We were freezingg!! brRrr...

I cannot reiterate hw good i am in taking pictures. I managed to capture lynn in many pics doing star jumps. I'M SO PRO! this must be my hidden talent that's resurfacing now.When it was my turn to jump, Lynn leh on d other hand....HAHAHAHA
hehee....*no comments. it's okie Lynn, practise makes perfect.

This is what happens when u got nthg else to do. heheAfter the football matches were over, we went to have lunch at the cafeteria. We had malaysian food!!! oohhHHh i knew i wanted nasi lemak n they were selling it!! i was so excited!!
My oh-so-precious nasi lemak!! I added prawns so altog cost me 2.50 pounds. Cannot convert to ringgit or not ull think it's crazieely exp. In london a plate of nasi lemak will easily cost u 7pounds. Now that's CRAZIEE!

Kenneth met his good fren, Sean fr Lenceister. He looks so very cute! as in, the boy boy kind.
Looks a bit like fox. hehe
After a satisfying meal, we wanted to rush back to see the other games resuming. Most imp of all, i wanted to support Alice as she got tru the first round in badminton.
We decided to walk back from the cafeteria. I lost Kenneth and was with other friends at that time. The scenery of the many yellow big trees and the green grass surrounded by the clear blue sky was picturesque and indescribable.
I'm blown away once again by God's awesome majesty. He is d most incredible artist n creator!

I climbed a tree!! I just had a sudden urge to do so and i did it! Ppl ask me y i so crazie suddenly n my reply is bcoz i think it's a suppresed longing, prob sthg i really wanted to do since i was young and yeah! now it's the time to climb trees! =D
At least climbing in d UK does not seem so bad. In Malaysia, they're prob some gross insects or parasites growing on them. Not like they dont hv it here in the UK, mm.. it's just cleaner n nicer =P hehe.
And i climbed an apple tree!! An English one too! hehe.
Hw i know , it's bcoz there were lots of apples fallen under the tree.
This is the pretty view of the Downs. The area has been managed as a wildflower meadow since 1995. Not only izzit very attractive during the summer but provides an important habitat for a variety of wildlife including many butterflies. This is an acid grassland so the flora will be mainly grasses.
The meadows are cut once a year in July removing a hay crop which produces the fertility and encourages species diversification.
No fertilizers and pesticides are used in this area! Amazing.
I missed Alice's game coz we took quite some time walking back. I feel soooo bad!! Really wanted to support her.
Alice is such a nice fren. She ta paoed tau fu fa for me.
This makes me feel even worse.
At abt 6pm, we went to town for dinner. This is their cinema!! HUGE
However, we had to take a cab to town. Everything is located quite far fr one another. I prefer Cardiff a whole lot more coz it's just walking distance to go to most places. I take abt 5mins to walk to class every day cause my place to uni is just a stone's throw. Even to town, it takes me only abt 10mins to get there. BEST THING, no need to take cab - save money n can exercise somemore. hehe.

We met up with Daniel Poon who took us to have dinner. He wanted to take us for chinese buffet but some of d other gals were in a rush back so in d end - we settled for subway =/
Buttttt.....i got to try a new filling - subway melts! and i so love it!
