PostHeaderIcon On the Road to Christmas in Cardiff Bay

Hiye all! Sorrie for the late post. So many things have been happening but im stuck with doing work when i have my spare time. I found myself slowly becoming a very discipline student (tho we all slack sometimes) but im seriously on the go in finishing all my work, even work for next week, and if i can, work for the week after next and currently doing essays which i have to hand in in dec. haha. sounds so nerd but im soo happie n glad that i'm becoming more and more responsible n discipline. Hopefully not a work addict next time. haha. nolaa... i wont one. I always belive all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. My motto: Play hard but study even harder! =D

On the 15 Nov, which was like, 10 days ago, hehe, we decided to go to Cardiff Bay because they were having children's workshops, funfair and market stalls for only a day. Not only that, live entertainment on the bandstand with Red Dragon FM, choirs and bands with the highlight of the event - Firwerok Pinale at 7pm appealed to us greatly.

We went to Cardiff Bay by train. Thanks to Kenneth's Student Rail ticket, he got all of us a cheap price - 1.55pounds for a return one! The old man who issued us the tickets was kinda blur - he gave us all student discounts based on kenneth's pass. hehe. yay anyway!

Note: This is a very dishonest action. All of us were quite blur n just paid the price. When we were questioned at the next transit, only then did we realise what had happened. So yeah!! Always do the right thing in life =) Honesty is the best policy and the right attitude will bring u far in life.

We met Santa!! =) He's so skinny - guess we shouldn't stereotype all santas! hehe but i still prefer the ones with their bellies jutting out. =P

It was definitely an event for families to come together and have some fun! The kids will enjoy themselves the most! Why?

Answer:

Mini Miami!!! wahhh.. so shiock rite???

It does a 360 degrees turn - just like the magic carpet in Sunway Lagoon. The kids were screaminggg!! and their parents were taking pics of them and smiling all the way. So hung fok! =)

The Mini Christmas Market. There were not as many stalls as the ones that we hv in Curve. (I miss going to Curve!!) It became a bit cloudy so the picture looks a bit dark.

Few of the stalls were selling a variety of cheese in blocks.

The Goat Burger was selling out like hot cakes! So many ppl were queuing up for this. And of coz!! hw cud we miss trying out this unique bite? =)

looks good? hehe yeah! tastes quite nice. However i didnt reallie like the cheese in it, i think it was made out of goat milk... yucks!! i spat it out okie. taste like vomit. But the meat was juicy n yummy! =)

One of the many stalls selling jam. They have all sorts of flavour to ur liking! Eg. Vodka and jam, wine and sthg, all sorts lah! u like alcohol then there's quite a few ones u can choose from. If u like curry, they also sell! hehe quite nice okie! I tried the curry mix with sthg. very very delicious indeed! But felt a bit odd to spread curry jam over bread. curry chicken n curry sauce is okie, but curry jam....

OooOO n then, we also stopped by this stall selling crepe! wheEE i miss the one i had in thailand with kenneth n stephanie. So yummy!! kenneth was so sweet. He bought us crepe n had to wait so long 4us while stephy n i were shopping like craziee in d mall!! hehe. They didnt have banana n choc!!!! hw can they not!! It's like d B-E-S-T!!!! ...so settled for jus chocolate. no.. not jus choc.. but EXTRAAAAA choc. hehe not bad la. but the one in thai was wayyy much nicer.

Kenneth n d crepe! =D

BRAINS Bar for those who fancy a mug of beer. Siu Meng got one for himself. He just loves to drink beer!

The children workshop. They were learning to do some artsy craftsy stuff.

This gal painted her face!!! It was sooo nice okie! Sorrie this time d pics quite small coz im too lazy to resize them.

Pretty Cardiff Bay=)

Cardiff Bay is definitely one of the hottest tourist attraction around. I visited Cardiff Bay abt a mth ago but i havent posted up anything abt it yet. When i do, i will explain more abt it.

One of the shops in this picture sells Welsh crafts. I stumbled upon this amazing wooden crafted spoon called the "Love Spoons"

Apparently it's what couples do as a tradition, they exchange love spoons as a symbol of affection and loyalty to one another. Probably this was done in the olden times. Still, i find it very sweet!! hehe.. i love these kind of things. Anyway, i bought one for kenneth for our 2years 2mths anniversary =)

Since we were all still hungry, we went to have our second helping at Gourmet Burger Kitchen. As their name tells, they are "apparently" famous for their well served big portion burgers.

The interior.

Me & menu. *duh so obv rite! =P

Beef burger with bacon n avocado! This one is overstated. Not as good as we tot so. Somemore it was pricey!

The romantic walkway.

An italian restaurant above the waters.

This is called the Millenium centre where musicals, operas and all sorts of arts n drama related events are held.

The front of the building reads : "In These Stones, Horizons Sing"

After a fun day, we went to Ah B's house 4 dinner - he's one of the church leaders of the Chinese Church. As u can c, his house is HUGE n is located in one of d most posh housing area in Cardiff. It's a bungalow n to have one in UK shows he's doing well n im happie 4 him! =)
He's a doc btw n his wife is a optometrist.

A great set up 4 dinner!

I WAS SOOOOOOOO happieeee to be invited over to Ah B's hse. He is such a nice man! He was very hospitable towards all of us. It also shows with the amount of YUMMY CHINESE food we were served.

Vege... mm i dont like brocolli but yeah had like 3?

OH this one SOO NIce!! mince meat with peas and tau fu! =D

Pak cham kai with Ginger paste in oil... what more can i say... *blown AWAY!!*

FISH! i had fish in UK! hehe.. no one reallie have fish here coz it's quite exp. It was steamed to perfection, even the soya sauce soaked around it was delectable. Taste just like the one u eat in restaurants. NO KIDDING!!

Anyway i gotta go now! I tot i hv no class in the morning but just realised it's Tues tom n i hv class at 9.

I havent met Lynn so long that we spent 1hr n 40 mins over the phonee!! hahaha that's like d longest time i talked to someone over d hp since i came to UK. We were updating each other abt our lives since we havent met up n talk 4 like....10 days??? maybe? hehe.

GOOD NITEY GUYS!!

I believe in 2 things.

1) Eat Well
2) Sleep Well

That's y i always cook yummy food, well at least i try! Like today i made a Jumbo Sandwich. I put in slices of tomatoes, mashed avocados, ham, fried scrambled egg, cabbage and lastly the best thing in it - Pan fried Chicken thigh coated with curry and special frying powder. WHAT CAN I SAY... perfectooo!!! hahahaah ... I made one for my korean flatmate and she says it's so delicious.

hehe n also try to sleep early, coz if u dont sleep early, u will accelerate ageing process to ur body. Plus, if u betray ur body by overworking it, or not taking care of it, it will betray u back. so rem to exercisee too!! hehe =)

Advice: Always listen to ur mum coz she always wants what's best 4u.
Like me, i heed my mum;s good advice and im thankful that i did so.

LOVEE!
Ann
