PostHeaderIcon Rainbow!

Yesterday, i saw a rainbow for the first time since i arrived at UK. :)

It was Simply Beautiful! It has been raining quite frequently here so some days can get a bit gloomy.

Oh well! Rain is good for us too. That's when farmers r happy cause their plants get watered and they grow grow and gROWWWw!! Then we can eat eat and EAT! hehehehe

Kenneth and i take one same subject and so we have classes together twice a week. That's so nicee!! Makes me very happy cause it's the only time (in this studying stage) that we get to go to the same class together :) hehe. Sometimes i get annoyed coz he always moves around during lecture and asks me for things like tissue n water. The lecturer talks SOOO fast i hv to keep on writing so sometimes i hv to slow down just for d sake of my handsome prince. hehee. but it's okie... all for the name of love!! *starry eyed! :P

Both of us were soooo hungry that we can hear each other's stomach growling for food! So aft class, we decided to treat ourselves to indian buffet. YUP! all u can eat for 6.50 pounds.

Spice Merchant is located at the heart of the city centre. It is mainly catered for the working class, tourists and even anyone whose taste buds are just longing for indian food while they're at the city.

The decor, i would say, is fantastic. It gives you a very cosy feeling with the dimmed lights on. Plus, the mixture of warm and bright hue of blue and yellow colour brightens up the whole atmosphere.

Cosy and romantic. As we sat there enjoying our meal, we got to coddle ourselves with the bright sunshine entering through the large windows.

There were 8 dishes for us to indulge and fill up our hungry stomachs. hehe.

As u can c, we had chicken, lamb, vegetable kurma, sauce, rice, onion balji (kenneth's fav), fried potatoes, and....... the best thing....

Fried Brocolli!!!! fu-yoh!! very nice lor!! I super duper love it! :D

hehe. I sliced it in half for u all to see! Im so smart hor? hehehe :P

Crunchy on the outside, soft and tender inside. Great combination.

How i judge a restaurant depends on these criteria that i came up on my own: QS PDA
Remember this guys!!

Q - Quality of food
S - Standard of food n service
P - Price
D - Decor
A - Ambience

Obviously, firstly the food got to be good! Even if it's a super classy restaurant but the food is lousy, then to me, it's no point going. Probably it's only good goin once for the experience.

Secondly, the standard of food got to be an excellent one for recommendation and regular visits back. If the service provided is excellent, then this will encourage ppl to come back. U got to be treated like a customer and in this highly competitive commercial world, if you dont treat ur customers like King, ure gonna be one of those restaurants that are easily forgotten and never mentioned again. Mediocres do not have a place in this world. That's how our world has become.

Price. This is a very influential factor in our everyday life decision making. hehe. esp when ure a student! We all dont mind paying more for good food. If it's dat great! yeah! we dont mind paying. However, restaurants should live up to the standard they're presenting to the public. My family lovessss Overseas Restaurant, Sugimoto, Restaurant 23( i think it's called sthg Seafood now) and the other chinese restaurant in Jaya One. Cant remember adi. Ohhhh and we loove love Choong foong coz the food is cheap and soooo yummy!! *salivating already* :( i wan to go back to Msia in Jan... sniff.. i dreamt that i went back to Msia last night okie.. so happie! I miss my fam, friends n food.. wah all start with F. hehe..

The Decor and Ambience might be a signifant factor when choosing a place to eat because of a special occasion like birthdays or valentines or maybe even christmas n chinese new year. :) Or even on a date! hehe. i think couples should date all the time. It should never ever stop. Sigh y when children comes everything changes? noooOooo... it shud not...at least my parents now always go ber-dating dating together. hehe so romantic! yay! Keep up d good work pa! My papa so romantic. Bought my mum a perfume and also forfeited his air ticket and purposely bought a new one to come back on time from Johor to bring my mum out for dinner because it was their 24th or was it their 25th anniversary. And i realised y couples shud hold hands. Research shows that it helps build the relationship stronger because by doing so, we feel a sense of love and security. It is the same feeling we feel when our parents hold our hands when we were babies n toddlers.

We even got free chocs. And it tasted great. I think it was an orange choc flavour.

However, i would not recommend this restaurant because i feel it's one of those mediocre ones. The outstanding dish served would be the fried brocolli.... so erm. a bit duh to go all the way back for fried brocolli right? hehe. And the decor is nice but im looking more for good n outstanding food so.. yeah! :)

Anyway on that night itself, i cooked Bak Kut Teh and fried omelette with corn and prawns. I invited Kenneth and his housemates n Sara. I feel so bad! Didnt know it was not enough. Somemore i bought so much spare ribs okie. The pic only shows half. Next time if i cook for guys must prepare more food.

Okie anyway i went for script reading for the musical event. mmm... i dont think im very good at it. I feel really shy sometimes! argh! :( gotta try harder.

I so envy your mum with such a romantic husband.

So how many servings you and kenneth had for the buffet.

Is your bak Kut Teh nice? Maybe when you come back on January you should cook for us.
