PostHeaderIcon Sleep well, Eat well

Hiye. I have a good news to tell! I've been shortlisted in my application to be a student warden! I'll be going for an interview next Thursday :) Thank u Jesus! hehe. Im so happy. I sound like i've already gotten the job but even if i'm not successful in the interview im glad i've been shortlisted from over 400 or more applicants when they only need 43.

Anyway, this is just going to be a short post on food.

Just to let u all know that even when my schedule is so tight i make sure i sleep well and eat well. Today i'm very happy that my friend from Bahamas said that i look very pretty and cheerful. *blush blush. hehe. Despite the many hours spent practising the whole day with only less than an hour break in between, im glad that i still managed to feel energized. I make sure i get enough rest WHENEVER i can. Like today, i slept till 9.40am, then i cooked and then i slept again.

Thanks to my mummy's golden advice :
"Ann, u must make sure u eat well and sleep well...then only u'll stay healthy, pretty n youthful!"

She tells me that since i was young so i always remember that. I guess that's why she's still so pretty until now. Really! Everyone asks whether she's my eldest sister! omg. Please ma. Dont look younger than me okie. I cannot accept that! hehehe.

Just to post up some pics about the food i cooked these past few days:

#1 Leng Ngau tong (Lotus Root/Leaf soup)

Im so glad i could find leng ngau here in UK!! I bought it from a Chinese shop. :D

I put in 15 kei chi, 7 red dates, chicken which i minced myself & made a lot of noise! *chop chop chop! & chicken bones that i kept when i de-boned it.

It was amazing!! I miss drinking this soooo much!
Back home i get to drink soup everyday!
So pampered with good food all the time.
I'm glad im goin home soon. :)

#2 Pan fried tofu with seasoning

OMG! Another yet fantastico dish by me! :D
hahaa. Even my kwai lo friends love it!
I added salt, pepper, corn flour and this crispy chicken seasoning flour.

Next time when i go home i can cook this for my family instead of eating the usual same style of cooking tofu by my kakak.

#3 Siu Yoke

After cooking this, Kenneth says he's very happy that im his gf!
0_O
haha. Anyway, i made this yesterday night with porridge.
I cant believe it i made this superb yummy glorious dish.

Please, from now on, call me Chef Ann.
hahahaha.

#4 Love Porridge

Why is it named Love Porridge. It's because i cooked it with love of course. Plus, I used to dislike eating porridge a lot a lot. But since Kenneth is not feeling well, I decided to cook porridge for him to eat for lunch & dinner. I cooked a BIG pot of porridge. I put loads of carrots, sweet corn, & Chinese leaf(My fav veg). After putting it on low heat for an hour and a half, I added more water and stirred it. Then i added sesame oil, salt, pepper and a little sweet sauce. :D

Tada! My porridge made with love. It was so good! I actually love eating porridge now :)

#5 Roast Chicken

I just cooked this today for lunch. I cooked another dish which was excellento but i didnt snap a pic as i was too hungry. But this baby was left in the oven for awhile and we had it during our lunch halfway. I actually surprised Kenneth with this dish. hehe. Very easy to make Kenneth happy, just cook for him nice food can adi. hehehe. :P So anyway, how i made this was i seasoned it with salt, peper, honey, char siew sauce and sweet sauce. Then i transferred it onto an alumminum foil and left it for abt 45 or 50 minutes at 175 degrees.

Amazing how food can be so tasty and makes u so happy.

That's the reason why i like to blog about food.

Okie i gotta do my tutorials now. I have practise at 8 till 10 today. Only 2 hours for today. Thank God i can rest for awhile.

Love,
Ann

Yes i know you'll be as young as your mom as we *cough* grow older. Cuz you always look so cheerful and energetic whenever wherever i see you; always so friendly and encouraging to everyone which i have to learn from you.

And yes Kenneth is very very blissful to you have as his gf. You are SUCH an all-rounder. Should really book an appointment with you after FOD to cook with you :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Chef Ann! LOL
Congrates on the warden thingy. That means you don't have to pay for the accommodation if you get it later isn't it? That's so cool!
Rest well and take care. Don't catch Kenneth's illness. Hehe...
