Lately, for the past few days i have been wanting to go to Holland so badly!
Seriously lor! I went to search for the cheapest ticket to go to Holland this weekend. haha. 86 pounds for a return ticket. I am so willing to pay but then i just remembered that i have agreed to volunteer for Cardiff European Games organized by the Malaysian Society!! It's quite a big event. BUt but but.,.. SNIFF!! :( Bye bye Holland. Fret not. I will visit you next year!
Where is Holland? It's in the Netherlands.
I like the name of the country.
Anything that has 'land' behind its name sounds so fairytale-ish! hehe

Holland is famous for its flowers and particularly for its bulb flowers.
From the end of March until the first week of May the flowers in the bulb fields bloom.

Love the colours!
Maybe it's also because i wanna visit Keukenhof which is the most famous garden in Holland. The 80-acre park is situated just outside the town of Lisse, south of Harlem and features beds of tulips, crocuses, daffodils and other flowers. Strategically laid out paths weave their way through different sections of the park, guiding the visitor through spectacular flower displays, themed gardens, shady tree-lined lanes and hothouses. Even the children are catered for, the Bollenbozen route, a fun filled treasure trail takes the children on a voyage of discovery through the park.

The flower bulbs are supplied by over 100 companies and the bulbs are planted by approx. thirty gardeners from the end of September until the first frost. Keukenhof has been using layered planting for the past ten years ensuring a continuous flow of colour throughout the season. This means that the bulbs are planted on top of each other. First come the late-blooming tulips, deepest in the ground, above them the early-blooming tulips, above them the crocuses.
It has been said that tulips represent grace and elegance and it is recognized as one the world’s most loved flower. According to gardeners, the standard meaning of tulips is perfect love and like many other flowers, different colors have been associated with a specific expression.
For example, red tulips are strongly associated with true love and purple ones symbolize royalty.

Yellow tulips that once represented hopeless love are now associated with cheerful thoughts and sunshine. So nice! :)
White tulips usually represent claim of worthiness and sometimes to send a message of forgiveness.
Variegated tulips were once among the most popular varieties because of their striking color patters now represent beautiful eyes.
ooO i likey!
With all the sentiments associated with tulips, it is no wonder that their popularity continues to endure through the years. :)
Oh and there's this other cool tulip spesies.
Tulip ‘Wendy Love’ – Botanical name is Tulipa Wendy Love
This tulip is in the ‘Triumph’ family and the beauty of it is that the blooms change from yellow to pink. They open in a soft yellow color and gradually change to a rosy pink color.
God is great huh?? :)

Okie no offence - this colour reminds me of the flowers people bring to respect the dead.

It's so cool that this tulip is named after a gal called Wendy. She must be quite an important person . I also want a flower to be named after me! No, not any flower but a pretty one! hehehhehe :P Tulips are my mum's favourite flower. She loves it a lot and i think that influences me to like it too :)
xoxo

- We do not remember days; we remember moments. I was once told by a friend that we should do the following: To laugh often and much; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; and know that great things can only come with hardship because everything happens for a reason.
