PostHeaderIcon Malaysian Christian Conference (MCC)

MCC do not always stand for mung cha cha okie. hehe.

Anyway, it was such a beneficial conference! I learnt soo much from it. It was held in Oakley's girl's boarding school at Wokingham, London. 11 of us from the Cardiff Chinese Christian Church (CCCC) went for it. We had 2 drivers, Alan and Brian. Malcolm and another guy had to take the train because there were not enough seats in the car.

Since Alan does not have a car, we had to rent one.

Guess what car did Alan rent?

A Peugeot Astra Sports car!!

It was really new and clean! I slept for 2.5 hours on the journey to Wokingham and slept for an hour on the way back too :)

Kenneth & Alan

We stopped at KFC in Newport(20mins from Cardiff) for a quick lunch before we started our journey.

5 of us gals shared a bucket of hot rods! The chicket cutlets on the sticks are the hot rods. They are the closest thing to hot n spicy chicken back home. hehe not bad la.

Oakley's Girls Boarding School

I wonder what is it like to be studying in a boarding school? Honestly, I cant imagine myself being separated from my family at such a young age. All the outings n dinners together, shopping, papa being the atm always paying for everything (hehee) and then mummy's constant nagging ( heheee kiddingg!!!) and watching tele together! I thank God for these experience of growing up in such a loving environment. I really have the best parents in the universe. =D

When i was 17, I remember how papa didnt want me to sit for the ASEAN scholarship exam which was held the following day. I had fever and he told me not to go for it because he did not want me to leave the house at such a young age. And i remember how we rushed like crazy to send my application in because i did it last minute and mummy scolded me somemore and we had to send it through FedEx. Looking back im glad my dad made that decision that i should stay back. The time i had with my family are really precious memories.

And because i stayed back, i went to Taylors College and then i met Kenneth. :)

At the main hall takin pictures.

Dinner time!!

#7 Bubur cha cha

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! the sweet potatoes were tender and i lurveee the chewy feeling of the sago! It was not too sweet too. Just nice. How come everything taste so good when you dont have it at hand? Looks like i should appreciate what i really have back home. Or maybe back home i have so many choices i become picky.

#8 'Wu Tau Ko' aka Yam Cake

Me & Yam Cake plus spicy chili sauce!! I love the chili sauce. I even found myself eating the chili sauce on its own.

On a more serious note, I have benefited so much from this camp. Pastor Timothy Loh taught us so much abt the Word of God and most importantly, he emphasised on the liveable truth which deals with the practical things in life.

Examples:

1) We should be standard barrers.
2) We should not live by fear, facts, fate but by faith.

Pastor Timothy is truly an annointed man of God. Not only that, he is sUPEr cool okie! As in, he's super funny!! His sermons do not bore me, not even a second! I give him my fullest attention when he speaks. Pastor Tim even played mafia with us till 1 am okie. And he was also the mafia! haha. really one cool pastor.

My team!

Elizabeth and Martin Goldsmith

The 2 missionaries who were the speakers during the conference. They really inspire me. Martin is 80plus and Elizabeth is 70 plus and they are still serving the Lord faithfully. At his age, he still can stand and give a sermon. Not only that, he has such a good sense of humour!!!! hehe made us laugh and laugh a lot! They stayed in Indonesia for a long period of time and they encouraged us to go back to Msia and serve our country. Thank you for that advice. I hope we fellow Msians continue to have the heart and the spirit of patriotism for our country.

Okie that's all!! It was a fun trip and im extremely blessed by this conference.

Im glad ive also gotten to know my friends better, like Eunice, Sandra & Hello Kitty :)

Mwah! Good nite!
