Princess' Diary

MSSCF (Malaysian Students Society of Cardiff University) organized a Hari Raya Dinner where we had a very impressive turn out of more than 2oo members. Here are some pics taken on that night.

We didn't wear our shoes inside the hall because it was a Malay tradition to take off ur shoes when u enter a place to eat (hehe i think so!! Not too sure but i assume im right) Too bad the hall we rented was occupied by the Breakdance Society till half an hour before our event started! This made our event a little messy n kelam kabut bcoz we couldnt prepare the registration table, bring the food in or even mop the floor before our members arrive! It was quite embarassing that our members witnessed us running all over the place, making the drinks etc. However, all is good. We learned from our mistakes and we promised ourselves to look into all those nitty-gritty details and improve for the better.

I was in charge of food! haha. So u see, Kenneth n my guy friends were like.."Ann im hungry. U know-la! *shows puppy face" haha. I am so smart i can derived all their implied hankering for more food.

It was a huge success! :D Kudos to our team!

Abang Taufiq, Kak Shamin and son who is super adorable n sticky to his mummy. Abang Taufiq gave the same speech as last year, encouraging people to join our annual Festival of Diversity (FOD), which is goin to be a musical again. Yay! It remains a big hit every year, (esp last year when i was involved! The tickets were sold out 2 weeks b4 the event! So happy! hehe) I may not be the best actress ever *i totally admit it! but i enjoyed myself tremendously. It was worth all the hardwork i put in including the long hours rehearsing where i had to practise everyday for the last 2 weeks. I had to act, sing 2 songs and remember the steps for the malay, chinese and indian dance. The satisfaction i received remains immense till today. This event made me realised my full potential and discover talents that i never knew i had - like acting! It was so hard. Harder and painful when people still kept asking me to look at last year's production because the lead actress was really good in acting..and this was like 1-2 weeks b4 production. But God was so good to me. He helped me deliver my role well and brought friends to guide me - esp Lynn who is a freaking good actress!! :) Txs lynn.

Abang Taufiq mentioned that one of the reason he got his current job was because of FOD. He was greatly involved during his time and it landed him a position as a consultant. I remembered that i mentioned about FOD as well during my interview for the job as a student warden and i got it as well! hehe.
